I could not wait to start our weekly movie night and share some of our favorite Disney Movies with our kids!
Since they are still very young, I thought we should start on the Classic Walt Disney Animated Movies, Pixar, and Hybrid films (including animation, such as Mary Poppins). I plan on omitting any movies made for television, other studio affiliates, and most sequels.
I’m so excited to share in the joy and wonder along with my kids as they see them for the first time! Even Brandon and I get to see several movies that we haven’t seen before! We own several classics already, but we plan on borrowing some from our parents, the local library, or watching them on Netflix. I have found that eBay and Amazon have a large collection also.
I LOVE to plan themed meals or snacks that coincide with the movie of the week. It makes the magic come alive and I get to introduce my kids to different cultures and different cuisines. I love the time we get to spend together exploring!
I’m planning on skipping around the movie list, to coincide with holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, or a movie that recently comes out of the vault or on to Blu-ray. Some of the movies are really hard to find too! It’ll take me a while to find a few, but I promise to share where I found a copy!
I want my kids to look back with the fondest memories spending time together, relaxing, and enjoying our evening of fun! I hope you follow along and enjoy this adventure with us!
