About Me

Hi I’m Esther!
I wanted to start a movie night tradition with my kids and couldn’t find what I was looking for online. I loved being raised on musicals and Disney classics, but wanted to involve my kids in more than just plopping on the couch and watching a movie. I started making up our own tradition week by week and my kids loved being involved in the whole process! They loved picking out a movie that they haven’t seen before and making the movie magically come to life thru crafts and treats!

I started this blog for other families who wanted to share in our adventures and start their own movie night tradition. I’ll be posting delicious recipes inspired by the movie of the week, kid friendly crafts and other ways to bring the Disney magic to your everyday lives.

I’m a LEO wife and stay at home mom of 2 adorable kids. Charlie Beth is 3, she loves to help and has been my sidekick since day one. Gideon is 18 months old and despite being nicknamed “The Destroyer” is my little cuddle bug. My husband and I grew up in Northern Kentucky and met while working at a local hospital. Brandon now works in Washington DC, and we live in Northern Virginia. Random fact, the woods behind us used to be owned by Disney! In the 1990’s, Disney was going to open a history-based theme park called Disney’s America. Sadly, it fell thru and they sold the property. We love living close to so many historical treasures, but our hearts are always aching to go back to Kentucky (and Disney World).

I have a printable for the list of movies we plan on watching in our next post. Click A Magical Movie Night Checklist to view.

That’s a little about us, how about you? I would love to hear a little about you and your family!

1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
