Big Hero 6

My daughter is obsessed with this action-packed movie!!! She loves the comradery between the characters, the humor, and Baymax’s gentle spirit thru all the chaos! We have watched it too many times to count! Hiro and Baymax are impossible not to love. This is a movie the whole family can enjoy.
Even though its filled with action and humor, Disney did a fantastic job relaying realistic emotions that Hiro goes thru after a terrible tragedy. My kids are a little young now, but when my kids are older, I hope they can learn from this movie and differentiate the healthy methods for grief and loss.

Wikipedia said Big Hero 6 is loosely based on the superhero team of the same name by Marvel Comics set in the futuristic city of San Fransokyo. I found a refreshing change to the musical and princess movies that we usually watch. Like every Marvel film, there’s an Easter Egg of Stan Lee hidden in Fred’s family estate. Do you enjoy finding the hidden Easter Eggs?

The Flower and Garden Festival is underway at Disney’s Epcot and I couldn’t think of a better treat for the movie than the legendary Frushi! I could definitely see Honey Lemon eating these in her favorite lunch place in San Fransokyo. My daughter loved helping set out the pretty pink sushi wrappers and arranging the fruit on the rice. I haven’t been lucky enough to go try Epcot’s Frushi for myself, but these homemade ones were unbelievable! I’ve made them several times since our movie night and will probably be a staple every spring to kick those winter blues away.XDAJE8486

I hope your family enjoys this super movie and can enjoy the spring weather now that it’s here! Have you been to the Flower and Garden Festival? What is your must have eats? I would love to read them in the comments.
