The AristoCats

Everybody wants to be a cat!

We thoroughly enjoyed Disney’s unforgettable classic The Aristocats  . It’s the purr-fect blend of comedy and adventure. This timeless treasure is full of fun and memorable songs the whole family will enjoy.

Sometimes I get carried away with all the ideas I want to incorporate for our movie night. I try to pace them throughout the week to fit them all in.

We started the week by making Crème de la Crème de la Edgar. A warm, delicious drink that is perfect before a nap. Even without the sleeping pills! To make it, steam 8oz milk, mix an ounce or two of vanilla syrup (I use Torani Vanilla Syrup), a pinch of cinnamon, and dash of nutmeg. It’s the cat’s pajamas!

Besides listening and dancing to AristoCats soundtrack all week. We made the easiest brie appetizer, Honey Almond Baked Brie. I’ve used this quick recipe for over ten years and its always a crowd pleaser. Click here for this sophisticated, yet easy dish.

For movie night, we made breakfast for dinner. French Toast! I think Crêpes would have been a more authentic dish, so maybe I’ll try that next time. If you have a great and easy crepe recipe, please send it my way. I would love to try it!photo-54

We’ve watched The AristoCats several times, but this is the first time we featured it for movie night. During the movie, my husband asked me why they named one of the kittens Toulouse. I thought he wanted me to google it or something and then he said, “Maybe Too-tight was taken!”

I love watching my kids faces glow when we start a movie. Something magical about Disney Classics that connect the whole family and can be enjoyed for a lifetime.

Hope you enjoyed following along for our weekly movie night! I would love to see how you added magic to your AristoCats Movie Night! Comment below or tag @amagicalkingdomcalledhome on Facebook or Instagram to share your movie night!

Au revoir,
Esther
