Blue Fairy Marshmallow Wands

  • Servings: 4-6
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients

8 cups crispy rice cereal

½ cup unsalted butter

2 (10 oz) bags of miniature marshmallows

2 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt

Sprinkles for decorating (I used blue sprinkles and edible pearls)

One square of Baking White Chocolate

Paper straws (like these – Blue Striped Paper Straws )

Directions

Line a 7×11 baking pan with wax paper; set aside. Lightly spray large mixing bowl with cooking spray. Measure rice cereal and add to mixing bowl, set aside. Melt butter over low heat in a large saucepan. Once butter is melted, add miniature marshmallows and stir until they are melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and salt to combine. Pour marshmallow mixture over rice cereal and gently stir until evenly coated.

Spread mixture in baking pan. Decorate top with desired sprinkles. Using greased spatula or measuring cup, press the mixture firmly into the pan. Let cool to room temperature.

Pull treats out with wax paper and set on flat surface. Use Star cookie cutter to make several individual stars and set on wax paper. In small microwaveable bowl, melt white chocolate for dipping. Dip tip of paper straw in melted chocolate, then skewer star treat. Place back on wax paper to harden. Store in air-tight container.

Hope you enjoy this easy, yet scrumptious treat!
