Incredibles 2 Premier Party

We have been waiting 14 years for the Parr family to come back into our lives. Incredibles 2 did not disappoint, and may I say…even better than the first! Full of fun and laughter!

In this new movie, The Incredibles have to face another dangerous villain while juggling their new lives. Helen rocks saving the world, while Bob succeeds at being a Stay-at-home dad. They depicted how extremely tough it is to do both jobs and that you need each other to make it work. I loved seeing the parents roles reversed. Everything they did, every decision they made, was for their family.

It was the first movie the kids saw in the theaters and they loved it!! Even Gideon sat thru the whole thing! Just a heads up though, my daughter was frightened at the Screenslaver fight scene. She’s very sensitive to voices and it threw her off. Gideon didn’t mind it though.

For our movie premier night, we made Pad Thai for dinner and Cookie Num Nums for dessert. I got this Asian inspired dish from by Jen at Peanut Butter Runner and make it almost every other week. My kids go crazy for it!

I literally freaked out when I saw that Jack Jack could be calmed down with cookies. I had the PERFECT recipe for our movie night! I’ve had this recipe as long as we’ve been married and I use it when ever we have house guests. Funny story, I used to make them for the nurses at work all the time. They always wanted to know my secret. I always replied that they were made with LOVE. Y’all, I’ll let ya in on the secret… Love means  SHORTENING and Love is DELICIOUS! I recommend eating them with a cup of coffee or a big glass of milk to cut the sweetness.

Since it was one of our favorites movies, I ordered the Incredibles Movie Bundle from the Disney Movie Club. It was our first time ordering a package like this and it was AMAZING! For $15 bucks more, we got a huge box full of goodies. The bundle included; the movie, a code for exclusive content, movie night recipes, a set of collectible pins, a lithograph, a code for a personalized picture, a stainless steel tumbler, Incredibles 2 cup cozy, and a bag of special edition Gold Fish in the shapes of the Incredibles. I will definitely be doing this again! If you are interested, send me an email and I’ll send you my link.

Brandon’s incredible shirt is from Red Feather Apparel. They have the best shirts and  Brandon couldn’t resist the Cookies Num Num design. Check them out @ Red Feather Apparel.

We fully enjoyed this movie and our night together. I hope you do also! What will you do for your Incredibles 2 movie night? Let me know in the comments below, or tag @amagicalkingdomcalledhome on Facebook or Instagram. I would love to see your spin on this amazing movie!

Till next time,

Esther
