This is an easy recipe to update the usual can of tomato soup. A few extra spices and the addition of chicken broth is the perfect compliment. Perfect for a wintery day and paired with a Mickey shaped grilled cheese. Try spreading mayo on the bread instead of butter, it browns the bread beautifully and adds a nice flavor.
My little ones and husband love this recipe! I hope you do too!
Creamy Tomato Soup
Ingredients1 clove of garlic, minced
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 (10 3/4 oz) cans of condensed tomato soup
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken stock
1 tsp onion powder
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
toppings: cheese, gold fish, croutons, etc.
Sauté garlic with olive oil in a large stock pot over medium heat until golden brown. Once the garlic has cooked for 30 seconds, add soup, heavy cream, chicken stock, and spices. Bring to a simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes. Ladle soup into bowls and top with desired toppings.
