You may think I’m this young cool mom, but really I’m a 90 old grandma because my favorite candies are Nonpareils. Haha! I can’t get enough of them! Of course, I decided to make them more magical than usual for my blog.
Join in the fun! You might already have these ingredients in your pantry, all you need is chocolate and sprinkles. One important step that you don’t want to miss, DO NOT forget to make these on a jelly roll or you will be finding all of those sprinkles in your kitchen for YEARS!
Magical Nonpareils
Ingredients
1lb melting chocolate, I used Dark Chocolate
Nonpareil Sprinkles, colors are your choice
Directions
Melt chocolate according to package directions. Once melted and smooth, pour into a icing bottle or bag. Line jelly roll with wax paper and then start making small Mickey shaped chocolate drops. Make about 10 of them and then liberally sprinkle with nonpareils. Repeat with remaining chocolate. Depending on the size of your chocolates, mine are about a inch and a half in diameter, you should be able to get 30-40 on one large jelly roll.Let harden about 20-30 mins, you can put them in the fridge to speed up the process, then carefully pick them up and place in a cute dish or candy box.
Once they have all been removed from the wax paper, you can pour the extra sprinkles back in the jar. If there is any remaining chocolate, you could even make a second batch.
Hope you and your loved ones enjoy this sweet treat as much as I do!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
